Chusen textile artist

SANAE NAITO

The technique of "CHUSEN"(pour dyeing) I specialized in is one of the traditional Japanese methods of dyeing.

The most important characteristic of "CHUSEN" is that it can be dyed on both sides, which expresses the Japanese sense of beauty for textiles.

It usually uses plain cotton fabrics, but I selected fabrics, some of which are made

by hand from abroad and dyed by "CHUSEN" technique, I'm exploring the expression

of "the modern collaboration between Japanese and overseas fabrics and textile culuture".
